After seeing that the original game of life was not much of a success, I set out to make it much more interesting! I'm making a logbook section to go with the game so you ca log what weird animations you've found and a little title screen, explaining your job to find new creatures and animations. Maybe a an online thingy where you can transfer your findings between players! Also I've made it so you can draw in game-play, so you can effect the evolution process while the evolution is in progress! I hope everyone will like it! Here's an image to quench your thirst a little: (click here to see full image)

The Game of Life -- Version 2

I'm glad to pronounce my new website that I've just got up and running! Its the best I've done so far!
Visit it at:
Artificial Studios
It is still in beta so it may have a few bugs, and I know the chat doesn't work but it was earlier. So I do have a chat engine that works, and it will be on there soon. Mostly games and funny stuff.
Enjoy!
Just gotta get a domain now.
Thanks for reading!

Sometimes I think deeply about life, and what it is. A small moment when I question reality...
I was thinking about "Artificial Intelligence". Most people (mostly programmers =p) often dismiss things as "artificial intelligence" without thinking, really, what it is. If intelligence is the ability to think and create, then artificial intelligence must be completely different. A simple code with a few ifs and elses (referring to actionscript as usual) normally utilizing the X and Y axis. Basically making a robot, or bot, which responds to a certain input. Very crude, but still named "artificial intelligence", and a robot isn't a very good example of thought and creativity is it (well, so far any way). So I thought, how about I start up a crack team of flash programmers to give it a go. Flash isn't robotics (although it may seem very similar) but there still may be just a chance of creating thought and creativity. Not boring, crude random values spurting out to activate certain outputs but actual thought. Or at least the best attempt I have ever seen. But it would have to be bloody good, and realistic...
The creation of an artificial brain. Just think about that! A virtual nervous system! But, what a task!
Not just artificial intelligence, but artificial LIFE!
The thought of becoming a god! But the idea of real living beings living inside my computer gives me the creeps. And the thought that you could just wipe them all out with the touch of a button...
All this about artificial intelligence has reminded me about the amazing series "REBOOT" a sort of horror/epic based on a community inside a computer. Which sadly goes into jeopardy after a virus attacks. Then the story unfolds. Which might I say is excellent.
But then I think of (ahem) "real life" (surely artificial intelligence, in the form I have been discussing, has some right to "real life") and the flash "[fishes]" comes to mind, it says to me that every day is the same, we are mindless robots just performing the same ritual, falling asleep and repeating it over and over. Maybe we are all randomized robots and just doing all what the code tells us to, simply being told by a code to trigger an output if a certain value is true or equals 1 or whatever. But we see it (in our egotistical, big headed minds) as thought and feelings and creativity. In a way, our brains are just that. Robots, controlling outputs when they're told to. Churning away 'till their deaths...
Now, dreams...
To fully simulate or create a being, we must first know what dreams are, and why we have them. Are they conversations to your subconscious mind, or flashbacks of forgotten memories. I have had experiences where dreams have enlightened me on my earlier childhood. Where simple dreams have opened up huge holes in my memory...

Anyway, as I said earlier, I would like to start a crack team of actionscript programmers and flash designers to develop life! Create feelings, create plants, create animals, create worlds, create a planet and create a whole ecosystem! Probably the biggest flash project in history! Making Flash history and scientific history! Please, I need as much help as I can! Imagine being able to talk to a real (but artificial) person through the keyboard! With them listening and talking back! Leading their own lives with their own feelings and emotions. Falling in love. Starting civilization. Building an creating.
Please help me!
If you wish to help or join my crack team of flash scientists and designers drop in a comment and I'll ask you to show me what you can do.
Get flashing (Haha =P).

Well I've just gone and started a new project, (now I'm working on 3 projects at the same time, not including my website) its called aMaze and you sort of navigate a ball around a maze (hence aMaze - a maze, get it?). I was gonna go for aMazing but that sounds a bit annoying and cheesy. But... If you do have any better ideas than my name, please post them as comment, as I will be eternally grateful. Well, sort of. Anyway, here's the picture:

Hey! A pic of my latest project!
